Mr. Frattini is President of the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI), Chair of the ad hoc EPP Group for Foreign Policy, Chamber President to the Italian Supreme Administrative Court (Conseil d’Etat) and Member of the Commission for the Constitutional reforms (Letta government). He is the Official Italian Candidate to the NATO Secretary General

Earlier in his career Mr. Frattini was Minister for foreign Affairs (2008-2011 and 2002-2004), Chair of the EPP Foreign Affairs Ministers' Group (2008-2011) and Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Justice, Freedom and Security (2004-2008).
